All the teachers at our school are native Spanish speakers, with a university degree and specific training in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. The maximum class size at our school is just 10, with an average of 7 students per group.
We organise a range of guided walks, visits and other activities for our students, not only to help you practise Spanish out of class that you learn on your Spanish course at our school, but also to make sure that you really enjoy your time in Barcelona!
We treat every one of the students at our school as an individual, carefully assessing their level of Spanish before they start their course, as well as continuously checking afterwards, to see if they are happy on their course and in their accommodation.

Barcelona is located on the Eastern side of Spain, right by the coast and near the border of France. The city has 3 million inhabitants and is economically the most active city in Spain, Madrid included. Famous throughout the world for the cathedral "La Sagrada Familia" (The holy family), a lifework started by Antony Gaudí more than 100 years ago and still in construction stage; for Park Güell, also by Gaudí, and for La Rambla, an amazing street that stretches from the middle of the city and all the way down to the harbour - Barcelona is simply amazing, and those who have been, want to go back.
Barcelona is one of these cities that "has everything"; nice weather, great attractions, great food, wine, and entertainment. The shopping is great, especially in the labyrinthic streets of the gothic part of town (from Plaza Catalunya and down to the harbour, on the northern side of La Rambla.) The city has some great Jazz bars, and some amazing night-clubs if you are able to find them. Chances are you'll stumble over one one night, have a great time and then are unable to find the place ever again. But nevermind, there are so many others to choose from! The new harbour area, rebuilt for the Summer Olympics in Barcelona 1992, is host to a quantity of discos and nightclubs, and this is also where you find the beaches of Barcelona. Take a stroll up La Rambla and then branch out to either of its sides - there are some great little tapas bars hidden in the narrowest streets, making every day a new adventure. And of course everyone who visits Barcelona has to visit the houses of Gaudí, as well as climb the stairs of the towers of La Segrada Familia. It really is an amazing experience!

Host Family Accommodations in Spain
Living with a host family has two major benefits. First, it's the best way to get to know Spanish culture and see what daily life is like for a native Spaniard. Secondly, our host families will speak to you in Spanish all the time, helping you practice the skills you're working on in Spanish classes in an authentic context.
Our host families vary from young families to one or two retired people, all Spanish speakers and are carefully selected to ensure that your stay is as pleasant as possible. We do our best to find home stays that will treat you as part of the family.
You may choose between a single or double room as well as no meals, half board (breakfast & dinner) or full board (all meals).
If you have any allergies, special dietary requirements, dislike of particular pets or any other special requests, just let us know in advance and we'll do our best to satisfy your needs.
