The English school in Eastbourne, founded in 1954, is located in the former home of the Duke of Devonshire, Compton Place, an elegant eighteenth century mansion with a garden of 13 acres and only 15 minutes walk from the city center and from the beach.

How to get there

To get to Eastbourne we suggest flying to one of the London airports. All airports are well connected to the city of Eastbourne by train or bus.

From London Heathrow Eastbourne Airport, depending on the day and traffic, the route can have a duration of 2 hours. There is no direct bus from Heathrow to Eastbourne so you have to catch a bus to Gatwick and catch a train to Eastbourne. It takes 50 minutes to arrive and the trains are regular.

From London Luton or Stanstead

You will need to take a bus to the centre and change there, if it's your first time we do not advise it.
For students using Eurostar, we recommend changing trains at Ashford International Station to a quicker one, direct to Eastbourne.

You also have the option to get to Eastbourne with the London Bus Company 'Megabus' from Victoria Station. Hours vary by day and the prices depend on when you book the ticket online. They are very inexpensive and operate daily. The website is: www.megabus.com / uk
